Ransomed from evil

Background Scripture: Rev.7:1-3, 13-17; Isaiah 51:11

One undeniable policy of heaven highlighted clearly in the Bible is ‘Remnant Escape Policy’. This policy is obvious because, in all matters of destruction following a consequence of sin or act of wickedness, a few must escape or be saved to tell the story (Isa. 1:9; Jer. 23:3; Ezek. 6:8).

WHO WILL ESCAPE?

Background Scripture: Ezekiel 14:12-14, 22

Who would be qualified to escape? A thousand can fall on the side and ten thousand by the right hand, but a man’s estate can be respected and exempted (Ps.91:5-10; Gal.6:17).

ESCAPE FROM PITFALLS

Background Scripture: Psalms 124:7-8

People in destruction net or coven of wickedness can break loose in the ability of I AM.

ESCAPE BY SUBSTITUTION

Background scripture: Esther 7:10

When the anointed Elijah reported Israel to God, probably seeking God to consider them for punishment, God appointed one of the people he reported to replace him (1Kgs.19:13-15). The Bible assures our escape today as much as the ancients were made to escape (Rom. 11:1-6). Dangers of hell is becoming more alarming in our day, so much so that Jesus says that except for special divine assistance, no one shall escape (Mt.24:22; Isa. 5:14).

Satanic Pull

BACKGROUND SCRIPTURE: 2 Kings 3:26-27

As we have noted so far, spiritual pull is the causative force behind every happening, both for good and for bad in the affairs of men. Jesus our master, educated us that there’s always a very strong force even behind this cause again. This he called the “strong man” (Lk 11:21-22).

THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY

BACKGROUND SCRIPTURE: Luke 10:30-37

The Good: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Finally, this helpless traveler found help in a foreigner, a Samaritan (Lk. 10:33-35). You don’t choose where good will come to you, God does (Ps. 75:5-7). When you look around you, you’ll see frustrations and disappointments. When you look down, you will see your limitations. But when you look up, you will see hope and possibilities (Ps.121:1).
